The Beamsville Lions Support…

On a local level, we support–

Minor hockey, soccer and baseball

Lions Community Park ($90,000 in 1994. What a vision!)

Town of Lincoln library and summer programs

West Lincoln Memorial Hospital ($25,000)

Fleming Centre Arena and Library ($25,000)

YMCA ($10,000)

Lions have been called the “Knights of the Blind” because of our focus on the blind. Here are the projects that we support provincially and nationally.

Camp Dorset for diabetes (a leading cause of blindness)

CNIB camp for the blind at Lake Joseph

Eye Care Niagara which purchases hospital equipment for eye surgery in Niagara

Canine Vision is the service dog training program based in Oakville

Here are several Lions collecting eye glasses to be sent over seas to people in need.

Here are several of us having fun while raising money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We all piled on the ‘Big Bike’ and pedaled it around the streets. Great spirit, Lions!!

Internationally, we support the Lions Club International Foundation

LCIF sends emergency relief monies to disaster struck areas around the world by releasing funds through local Lions Clubs in the area. Immediate financial aid with local control!
